Carignan
from 1911 and 1952 are basis of Lo Viehl, Grenache
gris makes the white, nearly 3 newly planted hectares
have started producing Syrah, Mourvedre,
Counoise, Cabernet Sauv., Viognier, Marsanne,
and AOC Muscat in 2004. New white
vines (Macabeu, Terret, Grenache Blanc,
more Muscat--bringing us to 13 grape varieties!)
were bought and picked for the first time in 2006

Pruned
very short (1 eye), tilled soil (caterpillar tractor,
low compacting), Certified "agriculture raisonnée"
but working organically now for 2 years, harvest
strictly reduced in July for even maturity and maximum
ripeness and aeration, harvest in small "cagettes"
to avoid crushing before they get to the cave.
